Stoke and Staffordshire businesses can now benefit from a fully funded, professional energy audit through the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS).
Delivered by independent specialists and supported by Staffordshire County Council, the audit helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) cut costs and lower their carbon emissions.
Crucially, businesses may also be eligible for funding of up to £100,000 to support investments in the recommended energy-saving technologies – making it easier to turn audit insights into action.
Lighting the Way: Stoke Flame’s Energy Upgrade
For Stoke Gas and Fireplace Centre Ltd, also known as Stoke Flame, the BEAS programme proved transformative.
Siobhan Sherwin, Marketing Director, said: “Our experience of working with the BEAS project was great. From the initial contact all the way through to completion, the process was very easy, completed quickly and we were delighted to be able to update the old lighting in the showroom and have more energy efficient lighting going forward.”
By upgrading to energy-efficient LED lighting, the business expects to save 8,430 kWh of energy each year, cut 1.9 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, and reduce bills by around £2,194 annually.
